Seamless Playground Surfacings

Installation Instruction

Playfix

Preparing the substrate for Playfix safety flooring
The substrates for Playfix safety flooring are identical with the substrates for Regupol falling protection flooring systems and safety tiles. Playfix can be applied to both non-bonded and bonded substrates (as per DIN 18035-6). Please ensure that the difference in level does not exceed 10 mm over a distance of 4 m.

Edging
The area should be edged in before starting to apply Playfix, with the edging corresponding to the total thickness of the Playfix safety flooring. We recommend Regupol elastic edging.

Installation
Both layers of Playfix, the lower falling protection layer and the coloured top layer, are applied to the intended surface in situ in semi-liquid state. This work can only be carried out by BSW itself or by an authorised company, because seamless in situ application requires experience and know-how.

Playfix EPDM-IS

Preparing the substrate
Playfix EPDM-IS should only be installed on asphalt or concrete. Please pay special attention to smoothing over any uneven patches (as per DIN 18035-6).

Edging
We recommend Regupol edging. Edging can be dispensed with for thin top layers.

Installation
The elastic top layer of Playfix EPDM-IS is applied to the intended surface in situ in semi-liquid state. This work can only be carried out by BSW itself or by an authorised company.

Playfix Indoor

Preparing the substrate
Playfix Indoor is only applied indoors. The required substrate consists of a smooth, flat and dry cement or asphalt screed. Installation on other already existing surfaces must be coordinated in each specific case. For every substrate, ensure that it is moisture-proof because otherwise rising water vapour can cause bulges underneath the waterproof polyurethane top layer.

Installation
Playfix Indoor can only be installed by BWM or by an authorised company, because application of the liquid PUR layers requires special know-how.
